Sony announced today that they will be shutting done the services for Destiny of Spirits, , a free-to-play Vita game, in June. This game had a very short life span being that it was only released in March of last year.

Although Sony didn't give an explanation to why the game was being cancelled, they had this to say; "Destiny of Spirits will no longer be available after June 30th. Players will not be able to play or access the game after that date, and all the unused Destiny Orbs - which are the games currency that can be bought with real money - will expire.

Because of the games one million or better downloads, Sony plans to hold a Fan Appreciation Campaign and bring back past game events in the final update 1.12. Sony will continue to sell Destiny Orbs until the games closure in the Americas and only to April 28th for Europe and April 29th in Asia.
